OnColor™ FX Chroma-Morph Colorants 
 

OnColor™ FX™ chromamorph colorants are concentrates formulated to give a unique color-shift effect as the viewing angle changes. This effect, also known as a travel effect, is best described as an iridescent color that changes hue (chromamorphs) as you move around the part. It differs from traditional iridescent and pearlescent colors by providing three or more hues, depending on the viewing angle. The pigments used to create these effects also tend to be more expensive than traditional iridescent and pearlescent pigments.

Key Characteristics

OnColor FX chromamorph colorants are compatible with most polymers. They work best in transparent and translucent polymers including PET, PETG, SAN and GPS.

OnColor FX chromamorph colorants are an ideal choice for applications in a variety of primary industries, including packaging, consumer, transportation, household, and electrical and electronic.

OnColor FX colorants are formulated to be compatible with injection-molding grades of a specific resin system. Some molding adjustments may be required, such as lowering backpressure, reducing cycle time and adjusting temperature profile. An accurate feeding system is recommended for metering the OnColor FX colorants during the process. Tumble blending the colorants with the letdown resin is also possible with most resins.
