OnColor™ NiteBrite™ Colorants 
Glow-in-the-dark colorants 

OnColor™ NiteBrite™ colorants are phosphorescent concentrates formulated for application to provide a glow-in-the-dark effect that lasts as long as 10 hours. The length of glow time depends in part on geometry, thickness and loading of the active phosphor.

Key Characteristics

OnColor NiteBrite colorants are available in three glow colors: yellow, aqua and violet. Although OnColor NiteBrite colors are naturally light yellow in daylight, a variety of pastel hues can be formulated that maintain the glow-in-the-dark effect. OnColor NiteBrite colorants are available in pelletized concentrate or dry color powder forms, and are formulated to suit specific resin systems.

A typical letdown ratio for an OnColor NiteBrite colorant is 20:1 (5%). This letdown ratio varies with part thickness and desired effect. OnColor NiteBrite colorants are formulated to be compatible with injection-molded grades of your specific resin system.

Additional Product Information

Some molding adjustments may be required to achieve the maximum effect because of the colorant shear sensitivity, such as lowering backpressure, reducing cycle time and adjusting temperature profile. An accurate feeding system is recommended for metering the OnColor NiteBrite colorants during the process. Tumble blending the colorants with the letdown resin also is possible with most resins.
