Stan-Tone™ VC and VCP series colorants for FPVC and RPVC systems are best for applications in which dispersion, uniformity, compatibility and cleanliness are essential characteristics. Both provide optimum color control for metering and distribution.
There is one difference between Stan-Tone VC and VCP series colorants: the VC series comes in pellet form, and the VCP series comes in powder form.
Vinyl is composed primarily of PVC resin with other additives, such as plasticizers, heat stabilizers and mineral fillers. By varying ingredient ratios, a range of product forms – from liquids to dry powders – can be achieved, each requiring different processing techniques.
For optimum handling and mixing performance, the colorant form should be similar to that of the vinyl compound to which it is being added: powder form of colorant for a powder or dry-blend compound, pellets for a pelletized compound and liquid-paste colorant for a liquid-plastisol compound.
