In the United States, 50 million fiber drums are produced each year. Often, their final resting place is a landfill due to the difficulty to recycle given the inherent challenges of manually separating the metal bands and crushing the remaining fiber in the drum. PlanetPak offers a simple creative solution to these recycling challenges because it is a corrugated linerboard package that contains no metal bands and made from recycled materials. The PlanetPak design simplifies handling allowing for quick collapsing into a flat unit for storage, disposal and movement through one recycling system.
